Entrepreneurship in the Middle East Conference (11/6/09)

  • The Arab Students Association (ASA) and the Yale Friends of Turkey (YFT), in conjunction with McKinsey & Co and several partners at Yale University, are organizing a conference on Entrepreneurship in the Middle East. It is the collaborators’ vision to organize a conference that sheds a different light on a region where great opportunities are constantly overshadowed by politically charged news headlines. Such an initiative, falls within the ASA’s mission of breaking down stereotypes and closing the divide between the people of the U.S. and the Middle East.

  • Pari Brahme, wife of Yale World Fellow Unmesh Brahme of India, will be speaking about her work with social entrepreneurship and theater. Brahme has worked with Unilever to use folklore and theater to promote hygiene and community activism to poor villages in India. She has also started a head hunting business for non-profits and corporations looking to collaborate. Come hear her speak about her experiences and learn more about opportunities in social entrepreneurship and theater.
